City of Bellingham Washington’s Backdoor, Fascist, CenturyLink Deal

Net neutrality is the principle that Internet service providers and governments regulating the Internet must treat all data on the Internet the same, not discriminating or charging differentially by user, content, website, platform, application, type of attached equipment, or mode of communication. — Wikipedia

The COB officials kept saying it over and over again. “It’s a Cable TV deal, not an internet deal. We regulate Cable TV, not the internet. That’s done at the state level.” Here’s what they didn’t tell you.

CenturyLink recently signed a deal with our very corrupt Mayor Kelli Linville and our equally corrupt city council. According to the COB, it was supposedly just a Cable TV deal for PRISM TV services with CenturyLink, one of the most fascist, irresponsible, hated companies in history and for good reason. One of those reasons is that they have been on the front lines of fighting against Net Neutrality and for the right to censor information. This behavior is part of the reason that Net Neutrality was established by the Obama Administration in the first place. President Obama was a member of the Democratic party, the same party that represents and even endorses most of our local candidates.

The City didn’t just sign a deal with CenturyLink. They assigned staff, at our expense, to the 18 billion dollar company to help them come in and then used a 2nd provider clause to help them avoid even the small amount of regulation that was placed on Comcast. So basically, they came in with no regulation.

The COB also did not seriously investigate other options, even though one of the most successful public fiber networks is literally next door in Mount Vernon and they offered to share information. The COB public works director, Ted Carlson, even threatened, on behalf of Puget Sound energy, to end the one meeting they had with two local public fiber experts because they were using PSE as an example of poor infrastructure.  Brian Heinreich, the deputy administrator, showed up late to the meeting and then refused to share any of the information from it with the council. By this point, they were already deep into giving CentuyLink corporate welfare to come into the community. Apparently an 18 Billion dollar company needs our help to figure out how to operate here and they need us to do it at our own expense.

The mayor would not give a public option the time of day, even laughing the city’s own attorney off stage when he suggested they should go over the exceptions being made for CenturyLink by the COB. The council joined her in this laughter right after Michael Lilliquist implied that it was silly and told James Erb, the city’s very hard working attorney, that he could sit down. It seems that the mayor and council considered this deal to be a joke, or the public too stupid to care about or even understand what was going on. CenturyLink sent four lawyers to this meeting just in case any pesky people from the community showed up.

The PRISM TV service is served over a small amount of fiber, but paired with the loss of Net Neutrality, they can prioritize any traffic they see fit. Meaning that when you go to test your connection at a speed test site your traffic will be prioritized too, often giving you a false positive, but it gets even better. This kind of behavior is why CenturyLink is in the middle of a class action lawsuit in King County. http://www.king5.com/money/consumer/centurylink-hit-with-class-action-lawsuit-over-billing-practices/451646322

The day after signing the “TV” contract with CenturyLink Kelli Linville personally killed a report that was being put together on other private internet options in the area even though it was near completion. She as also delayed a report being put together on public options, as far as anyone can tell, indefinitely. So they keep saying it’s a Cable TV contract, but they keep treating it like an internet solution. Of course, they skirted over the details about how CenturyLink’s low-income options tend to be a joke and how their services still cost about 10 times what they do in other developed countries. They also ignored the fact that they cost 3 times what they do even in other parts of the US like Kansas City. They laughed again at the idea of wiring up the whole city with fiber even though this would cost about 1/5th of what they’ve already spent on the ill advised Waterfront project and even though the network would pay for its own expansion if installed correctly. In fact, a public network could be started with as little as $300,000 and could support dozens of local providers.

Of course all of this information was sent to the mayor and the council before the July 24th meeting. They had 2 odd meetings. A 1pm meeting where the public was not allowed to ask any questions and a 7pm meeting where the public could make brief statements, but the council never took any anti-CenturyLink information under consideration.

In fact, Roxanne Murphy and Pinky Vargas gushed over CenturyLink, thanking them for coming into our town. Both said the opposite at a Young Democrats meeting to get their endorsement. Pinky was asked specifically if she supported Net Neutrality which she said she did but at the July 24th meeting she then backed up and gushed over one of the most Anti-Net Neutral, and therefore anti-first amendment companies in history, CenturyLink. Roxanne had an equally poor showing saying she would support the same kind of infrastructure they had in Tacoma and specifically public infrastructure, but then telling CenturyLink how she has been a customer of their for years, and will wait as long as necessary to get their services.

The city says that CenturyLink can not discriminate economically but has effectively given them every means to do so. CenturyLink simply is not going to go into communities that don’t have a “certain kind of infrastructure” meaning they will mostly be going into newer, wealthier communities. So their business practices will result in economic discrimination, just not in a way they can be legally held accountable for.

Also, if it was just a cable TV contract then why did the Bellingham Herald run two articles on CenturyLink’s behalf. One highlighting it as an interent service?

Their second defense is that CenturyLink could have sued them if they didn’t let them come in. Well we pay for lawyers to be on the COB staff and since doing business with a company that is attacking the first amendment is against our code of ethics we could have easily defended against this.

Of course this won’t address any of our social concerns. When asked what CenturyLink was doing about North Bellingham by Dan Hamill they refused to answer his question. Dan of course voted for them anyway because he’s corrupt.

Now I know people hate it when you make references to the Nazi’s. Almost as if we’ve been programmed to have that knee jerk response, but the parallels between Anti-Net Neutral companies like CenturyLink, Comcast, Verizon, AT&T and most of our providers and governments nationwide and the Nazi’s are inescapable.

Most people think the Nazi’s were socialists, but the system they actually pushed for was a system with a bunch of trusted companies working closely with the government. They wanted the government to be stronger than corporations but in the end their goals were met as long as these two entities were stronger than the people. They all agreed that they needed to have control of the media to control the people like they do now because we don’t really have other options in Bellingham. Similar behavior like this has all been well documented in a book called “Rise of the Fourth Reich” by Jim Marrs.

All of this so the city doesn’t have to establish a Dig Once policy to install inexpensive conduit, improve their existing infrastructure, and give you real options via a publicly owned, net-neutral, internet system. I don’t know about you, but something smells pretty bad down at city hall to me. Nothing is more important in a free society than the free flow of information and your government consistently chooses to backup companies that have fought for the right to censor the information you receive and charge you the most per MBit of data in the developed world.

CenturyLink has confirmed in an e-mail sent to me by Marty Mullholland, the city’s IT director, that they will not be providing better service to the county. They also have confirmed that they have the right to pull out of Bellingham if they do not get 20% of users within 5 years and they will not even establish a local office if they do not get 30%. Even Comcast gives us a local office with a lower percentage of users. So basically if they don’t get a monopoly of some kind they will not take us seriously as a community.
Historically the cable companies don’t actually compete with each other. They establish territories and no real competition takes place. This is partially due to the fact that content providers set the rates for what their content will cost. Think of it in regards to how the oil industry works. OPEC sets the overall cost of oil. Sure, you may have a Mobil and a Shell station in the same town but their rate for fuel will only vary by a few cents.
This dependence on fuel can be totally replaced by creating better infrastructure for charging electric cars, which have many advantages, but pressure from the oil companies and our government’s lack of interest in creating real infrastructure keeps that from happening. The same thing is happening with broadband.
Content providers have tried to slow down the expansion of Google Fiber by originally double charging them to provide the same content as other providers like by stating that Google was a non-traditional provider. Even with all of this Google provides TV and Gigabit internet services for $100 a month in Kansas City. Google has already decided not to come to Bellingham for many reasons that would require a separate article to explore.
All of this so that we can continue to not improve our infrastructure and continue to pay ten times the rate for internet that they do in other developed countries. With a truly good internet connection you would not need separate TV services. In fact, you don’t now. Here is a breakdown of the cost of internet and TV by country. Keep in mind that their speeds are also about 10 times better down and 100 times better up than most of you can get in Bellingham. We pay the highest price for internet per MBit in the developed world.
Kansas City (Gigabit Internet $70 with TV $100)
Japan (Gigabit Internet $25.50)
Hong Kong (Gigibit Internet $24)
Sling TV (Starts at $20)
So if you were able to get internet at an affordable rate and wanted TV you could pair it with something like a Sling package and pay less than half of what CenturyLink wants to charge you. There simply is no excuse for the rates that we pay and our lack of infrastructure. Pair that with the Anti-Net Neutral stance of most of Bellingham’s providers and there is no excuse for not at least perusing a public option to create real competition, address our social and economic issues, protect ourselves from content censorship, and drive down cost.

Are Trump Supporters, Even the Ones that Don’t Hate, Responsible For Charlottesville?

I’ll start out with a link to an article the explores the same question in relation to average German citizens in the WWII era. Meaning, how responsible were average Germans for the behavior of the Nazi’s?

http://www.nytimes.com/books/00/02/20/reviews/000220.20gewent.html

One of the things that has happened in American culture now is that, as we enter a phase that is more and more Orwellian and Nazi-esque, super liberal Americans have a knee jerk reaction to anyone that compares our society to the Third Reich. In fact, they will tend to consider anyone that makes a comparison to Hitler or the Nazi’s to be overstating themselves, even when the comparison is just and sound, as it often is.

Many peaceful rallies have been booed by Trump supporters for doing things as simple as having a moment of silence to reflect on this most recent tragedy in a growing list of tragedies associated with this presidency. Trump supporters will agree with the people being booed and say, “That’s awful, but we weren’t all involved. So don’t blame us,” or “Trump himself has said that the behavior is wrong. Not all Trump supporters are like that.” The list of excuses continues, but it was obvious pre-election that the most backward elements of our society were hoping for a Trump presidency. Meaning that Trump voters knew that if they supported him they would also, even if they didn’t want to, be supporting these elements as well. Before I go on, let’s reflect on the fact that Hillary Clinton was a terrible candidate, yet again. Let’s also reflect on the fact that you could have voted for a better third party candidate instead of voting for either Clinton or Trump.

While that is true to some extent that not all Trump voters are racist Nazi’s, the biggest problem with the Trump presidency is that it brings out the monsters of the past who are still here. This presidency has given them new life, and just like how the Neo-Nazi movement gained power in Greece recently when their economy collapsed, and Germany refused to bail them out (how’s that for irony), it is gaining power in America now too. In general it gains power whenever a once proud people are put in dire straits. This doesn’t make it acceptable, it’s just what happens.

Add to this the fact that gun owners show up to peaceful protests with weapons and you can see that, although they technically have the right to, their obvious goal is to intimidate. That’s why you show someone your weapon in the first place. To intimidate them. It’s like the behavior of bearing your teeth among all primates.

So, are Trump supporters, even the ones that don’t hate, responsible for the behavior of the other Trump supporters that do? Well simply put, YES. Just like the German people that didn’t resist the behavior of the Third Reich were ultimately responsible for the tragedies that happened in Nazi Germany, all Trump supporters are and can be held accountable for the many atrocities that have happened, and will continue to happen, under this presidency. Still, in the end those of us that don’t resist them will be responsible as well.

Think about it, right now no matter how relevant or well written this article is it is probably being pushed down in network priority via fascist Anti-Net Neutrality laws imposed by Comcast, CenturyLink, Verizon, AT&T, etc. pushed on you through backdoor cable TV deals by your own local governments. I’ll be writing a separate story on that on this site too. Our supposedly “progressive” city council and mayor just spent our tax money giving corporate welfare to CenturyLink and allowed them to come in on a Cable TV contract to avoid all regulation even though they’ll be providing internet and TV services over the same cabling. (More on all of this in the separate article). So the “progressives” in my town supported an Anti-Net Neutral company. So in short, they supported censoring the news and stealing bandwidth from the poor. Doesn’t sound very progressive to me.

So this is just one example of how we’re not resisting and should be. If you are not pushing for Net Neutral, publicly owned connections at this point you are supporting censorship of the news and that is just the tip of the ice berg for what many of us will be held accountable for by the time this presidency is over. Of course, we won’t be able to share information in the meantime.

If you are not admitting that open carrying a gun is equivalent in animal behavior to bearing one’s teeth to another animal you are responsible for what is happening and what is to come.

If you are not admitting that all animals, including humans, will get sick and need treatment at some point you are responsible for the many Americans that are suffering needlessly everyday while we continue to be the only developed country without Universal Healthcare.

The list goes on, but you get the picture. If you are a Trump supporter you are more responsible than most Americans, but even worse are the Americans that can’t be bothered to do anything or care at all. You are the most responsible. Just like the German people in the WWII era that knew something very wrong was going on, but didn’t resist.

Be Leary of Candidates with Endoresements

I know, you look at the title and think that I’ve gone off the deep end. Well perhaps you think I’ve gone off the deep end again, but there is solid logic to this argument. You see, when candidates run for seats they seek endorsements, but many of us do not know how that process works. Essentially, it’s a pay to play process. If you want to vote for a candidate, say with the Whatcom Democrats, you have to show up and pay a fee. Sure, they’ll argue that the money is used for events, etc. but the point is that you have to pay just to get in and vote.

So in a town like Bellingham where 1/3rd of the people, including families, earn less than $25,000 a year per household you will probably end up with a lot of those people supporting a candidate that is considered “more liberal” which these days translates to less bloodthirsty, or not crazy, or not a dirt bag of a human being, etc. The poor not only have a hard time affording a fee of any kind, but it is inappropriate to ask them to pay any amount to vote. The minimum wage here is $8.75, and low-income voting is $10. So you’re asking them to give up more than an hours worth of pay to vote. Plus, they may work later shifts meaning that making the meetings are harder for them than the rich people that can easily make the meetings, pay the $20 “normal” fee (or more accurately the “make sure you do me a favor with a Waterfront Construction Contract fee”), and make it home in time for supper.

So by default these organizations bias their votes, and endorsements, to the very wealthy. For instance, we have approximately 800 homeless people in Bellingham and Whatcom County. A simple luxury tax would take care of the issue. We have tons of millionaires in Bellingham, especially in Fairhaven. Still a candidate like Todd Donovan will support new roads for bicycles before a luxury tax, because growing a spine and doing the right thing would probably cost him the endorsement. So all I’m saying is to read between the lines. Candidates with endorsements are often bought, like Todd Donovan. He was directly asked this question recently and tried to tell poor people essentially to shut up because they don’t pay a lot in taxes. He was more business like about it, but that was the gist.

To recap our taxes in Bellingham,

  1. Our homes just went up in value. So we paid higher property tax than ever before. This is part of the real-estate scam. It works out well because the govenrment can bring in more money while not raising the percentage of the tax. So they can say they didn’t raise the tax even though you’re paying more. Again, that’s what we call a scam.
  2. We have almost 9% sales tax.
  3. We have some special taxes.
  4. We legalized marijuana recently, meaning that we have about $70 million extra in taxes earmarked for healthcare but the government always tells us that we’re out of money.
  5. There have been many “voluntary” tax increases. They should not be considered coluntary because they included issues like replacing bad fire equipment that the city didn’t budget for. So the choice was, “do you want to pay an extra tax and have a reliable fire truck, or not.” They did the same thing with educational technologies.
  6. The police purchased a $400,000 tank in the midst of all of this. They sold our snow plows because they said we don’t need to keep specialized equipment around. I guess a tank doesn’t count.

… Sadly, the list goes on, but you get the picture. We pay more all of the time and they do less with it.

Flint Michigan Water Crisis Still Not Fixed

Isn’t Neo Classical-capitalism great? (said sarcastically) After your government, in association with corporations, totally fucks your town up they can always say that it just simply costs to much to fix the problems they created.

On Tuesday the Flint Water Crisis will reach its third year. The mayor of Flint says it might cost as much as $1.5 Billion to fix, others say as “little” as $216 Million. So is their plan to not fix it and have the people drink poisoned water forever? I mean they’re poor people after all, and need to die of horrible, preventable conditions right? They wouldn’t be poor if they followed the Neo-Classical Capitalist plan like they were told to right?

Before switching to their old infrastructure the people of Flint used to get clean water from Detroit, which they can switch back to, btw. Anyway, so what, in relation to cost? This is the richest country in the world and no one should have to drink poisoned water here. Investments in infrastructure are almost always no-brainer investments and cost virtually nothing in the long run. Don’t we have pride in anything that we do? Clean water is the most important resource that there is. Oh, and of course none of the people that caused the problem are in jail. In fact, the police are beating people up, at church town halls, on their behalf.

To put things into perspective.

The MOAB that Trump’s cronies dropped in Syria cost $16 billion Dollars. So about 10 times as much as the highest estimate to fix Flint’s water problem would be. This estimate comes from their shitty mayor, so it’s probably high.

A Single F-22 Raptor Costs $137 Million Dollars. So 2 of those would equal a permanent fix for Flint’s water problem.

The tanks that your local police departments are buying to try and supress you when you speak out against bullshit like this cost about $500,000 each. So enough to provide safe water for a few months to Flint residents while a solution is being worked on.

The list goes on, but the point is that while your government is telling you they can’t afford to take care of you, improve your quality of life, etc. they certainly are buying the weapons they need to control you. Oh, and they’re incompetence is leading to poisoning you too, on behalf of big corporations in most cases.

The Situation in Syria

So, before I say anything else I just want to say that this latest chemical weapons attack in Syria is unacceptable and truly horrific. So, the real question to me is not should the US (along with allies like France and England this time) respond it’s would we be in this situation if Hillary Clinton was president? Sure, the situation is worse with Trump at the helm. For example Trump is not going to make sure who was really responsible, even though there is a really good chance that it was the Russians. The overall point I want to make here is that we’d be in about the same situation if Hillary Clinton was at the helm too. Remember, this all started under the Obama administration, and Clinton wanted to hand out no-fly zones like they were lollipops at the bank. She even talked about it during her campaign. One of the reasons I couldn’t bring myself to vote for either Clinton or Trump was that I thought they would both get us involved in World War III via their mishandling of the Syrian situation or via backing up the bloodthirsty Israeli government (remember we’ve helped arm Israel to the point that almost no nation can stand against them in their region, shhhh). Well, here we are. I hope I’m wrong. The overall problem is what it’s been for the last 70 years. We allow money and corporations to decide who our politicians will be, meaning we never really have competent leadership that cares about average people. Time to replace 90% of our politicians before it’s too late. Just look at how many Democrats can’t wait to support Trump before we’re even 100% sure who launched the weapons. Everyone wants to pull the trigger before we even know where to point the gun. That’s because 90% of our corporate owned politicians are too fucking stupid to make good decisions and even if they understood the situation they wouldn’t care. It’s your sons and daughters they’ll be sending into harms way, not their own and they consider them disposable. So from their standpoint, so what if they make a mistake, it’s no skin off of their teeth. It’s just another day in the Corporate States of Perpetual Warfare.

The Excuse Machine (How Modern Governments and Corporations Keep You Down, While Appearing to be Reasonable)

So, I want to start out by saying that governments are important. They are more important than corporations, and you should never want a corporate government. A well run government can do great things for it’s people and help its people prosper. So why do our governments suck so much? Well, because if you don’t watch them and hold them accountable, they will degrade into what we see today. So if that’s true then why don’t we want less government? Well there are many reasons, but the biggest one is that corporation will take over and they are totally amoral machines that always do the least amount possible and always half-ass everything at best.

So, how does the excuse machine work? Well, the excuse machine is a method of obfuscation that your government, and often corporations, use to try and keep you from holding them to account. It is especially important that they get you to doubt yourself along the way and drive a wedge between you and any potential supporters. For some odd reason, people still tend to believe large organizations over other citizens. They usually try to sound believable and will start by only half lying before full out lying. Keeping track of a lot of lies is hard to do after all. Still, they do this all while increasing your taxes and convincing you that all of the critical things you’re voting for are actually voluntary tax increases, so don’t bitch to them if your taxes go up. They never address the fact that your taxes are so high that there should be no need for tax increases, except on the very wealthy because in essence you’re asking your leaders to tax themselves.

Unregulated and unaccountable government explains many issues, from the local to the national and even global level. For example, in my city the government installs fiber-optic cable for itself. It refuses to give the citizens access to it, even though they paid for it, and even though it covers most of the city. In the background the City Council refuses to meet with local providers, but rolls out the red carpet for companies like CenturyLink and Comcast. Giving them full meetings. More than likely, almost all of the government officials are investing in these companies, because they can make sure they have little or no competition. Since the companies are considered individuals under our law and the individuals investing in them are as well, you can’t even find out if that is true, but where there is smoke there is fire. These kind of scandals go on all of the time but are easier to expose when the public welfare is at risk, since you can actually look into the history of the people and companies involved if that level of concern is justified.

Still, the excuse machine is in effect from the onset through a potential investigation. Here are a few examples. A citizen approaches their government with a good idea that doesn’t cost too much. In today’s terms let’s say 5 million or less over a 7 year period. A small amount of money to most cities. This idea will revolutionize the city, bringing in new jobs with good benefits and raising the quality of life for the citizens. Here is what they will probably run into.

  1. The government is really lazy and they consider themselves underpaid for their work. So they will use every excuse in the book not to do work. While the pay side of this was true in the not to distant past, many government jobs are very sought after by those of us under 40 since the pay is decent and they actually come with benefits. We’d love to have the jobs that the current government officials take for granted and even blow off, but the system of nepotism keeps it in place. Solution: Eliminate nepotism, replace current employees and officials with non-baby boomers, and let them know that although they work hard they don’t work any harder than just about any other working person in America. Especially those holding down 2 or 3 part-time jobs just to make ends meat.
  2. The government will tell you that any idea you have that doesn’t directly link to a corporation that they’re getting fees from or buying stock in, in the background, is simply too expensive. Solution: Look for other projects where they did find the money. In the City of Bellingham, WA we awarded $30.3 million dollars to a single construction company to re-do our Waterfront. We also had a tax increase to renovate and build new parks around the Waterfront to the tune of probably another $10 million. All while Mayor Linville tried to push our responsibility to help out the homeless onto other organizations and even tried to declare a state of emergency. A few apartments are being built so our elitist government can try and pretend like it cares, but the truth is that Bellingham has more than enough money to end the homeless problem now if we imposed a luxury tax on our wealthiest and most wasteful citizens. On another front, a public fiber-optic expansion would only cost $500,000 initially and would probably start paying for itself as clients hooked up to it. The city instead refused to seriously look into it and rolled out the red-carpet for CenturyLink in the background. Still, even a worse case scenario full fiber install would cost about 1/8th of what the Waterfront project will cost and will help the city out. The Waterfront has just as much a chance of becoming our Simpson’s Springfield Monorail project as anything else.
  3. The government will threaten you on behalf of corporations. Publicly the government will almost never trample on your rights, but behind closed doors they have no problem with it.  Ted Carlson, the Public Utility Director for the City of Bellingham, will threaten to end meetings on behalf of the power company (PSE) if anyone mentions seizing the company. Deputy Administrator Brian Heinrich will even tell them what they can talk to their elected officials about. This is just short of Brown Short Fascism, but in their defense it’s probably Mayor Linville that’s putting them up to it. Solution: Replace not just elected officials, but most of the government with decent, working class people. Never allow any candidate to run unopposed in any election. Demand the tax returns and investment information of all elected officials, even local ones. Demand that all corporate donors are revealed before ballots are cast.
  4. If you prove them wrong, they’re hide behind their own incompetence or even the weakest people, like the homeless. You see they’re so lazy and corrupt that you can pretty easily prove them wrong, that’s when they’ll use the mess they created, and didn’t really work on, to justify not doing anything better. They’ll say, “we have real problems, like the homeless” City Of Bellingham’s PUD Director Ted Carlson’s response to the idea of Public Fiber Optic Internet after the idea had been proven sound. You see, regardless of how much money they take in, they intentionally mismanaged it for many reasons. In some cases, they may even be trying to make your government inefficient to clear they way for their private sector pals. Ted Carlson said, “if the government is so bad at doing things, then why do you want us to do it.” Well guess what, the government shouldn’t be bad at doing things and we expect a higher level of service for the taxes that we pay. Whatever the reason the solution is simple. Solution: If, lime most Americans (aka the poor and middle class) you are paying high taxes then your government should be providing stellar services. In Bellingham we pay almost 9% sales tax coupled with high property tax. There should be more than enough money to deal with the homeless problem, fund our schools, provide a public option for telecom, transportation, etc. So if they’re telling you there is not, then you tell them that you will be taking the difference out of their salaries, including overpaid school officials, if they fight back, you fire them. They work for the public after all.
  5. Accuse your citizens/customers of not being thankful for what they have. This has a slightly religious slant to it and you can always find a place on the map where people have it worse. This allows you to inflate the cost of necessities and pretend that they’re luxuries. “Don’t complain about your high water prices,” a corporate goon or government official might say for example, “at least you’re not living in Flint, Michigan.” While this is true, the situation in Flint is unacceptable, and the fact that President Trump didn’t make this a top priority to address as soon as he took his oath is reason number one-million and fourteen why he should be impeached, but this article isn’t about him directly. Anyway, this tactic is very effective, as it might make the person feel guilty and ashamed for asking anything more out of their government.
  6. Tell the citizens that you see their point, but their idea is unnecessary. Ken Mann of the Whatcom County Council said this about a crosswalk because he, “never noticed anyone cross the road there.” Well, of course they didn’t. It was unsafe to do so without a crosswalk. It is now reported that disabled people are using the crosswalk just about everyday.
  7. Talk about unity and shame progressives for not getting behind your shitty candidates. This is the current line of the Democratic Party who refuses to learn from their mistakes. For example, tell the Bernie voters that although you understand their concerns you just can’t support candidates that actually give a shit about other people like Bernie Sanders, Keith Ellison, or Elizabeth Warren right now (then cough the word never into your hand). You’d like to but right now we need unity. Of course what this really means is unity behind the corporate Democrats that have ruined the party and cost us the election. Another local examples. Kelli Linville loves CenturyLink, a company whose corporate values totally align with Donald Trump. So in essence, on this and a few other issues, the Democrats effectively support Trump and the Republicans. Sure, they’ll never admit to this, but actions speak louder than words. They’re hoping to walk a fine line where they can take care of their corporate donors, and appear to be progressive. A better example is the DNCs support of Tom “Trump Likes Him” Perez and Cory “Steals Medicine From Grandmas” Booker. These guys are the premier DNC “leaders” right now. Sure, they gerrymander on a few issues and can appear to the untrained eye to be good Democrats, but they’re horrible people. If you bring this up, the Democrats will almost admit to it as well, but talk about unity again. In essence they’re always running the fear vote so they can take care of their corporate donors. Was Clinton a better candidate than Trump? Yes she was, but she was severely flawed because she made horrible choices during her career that made her an easy target. She did that to herself, not the Republicans. For example she wanted to hand out no fly zones like lollipops at the banks and did not support Universal Healthcare. We had an almost perfect candidate in Berine but the DNC stabbed him in the back because the Democrats figures that we would never vote for the horrible Republican alternative out of fear of what might happen. They are still doing the same thing, and if this is their strategy moving forward, as it appears to be, we’re screwed. Note: You can also work the shame angle from the unity angle. You can shame progressives for not getting into line and creating a terrible situation when the truth is that the Democrats largely did this to themselves. For example, Trump had a 5:1 bot ratio. Clinton generally thinks the internet is annoying.
  8. Tell them to be careful of how they ask for things. Sure, this one is rooted in reality. Being respectful of others is usually the best policy. However, sometimes your officials don’t deserve your respect. You know like when they back telecom companies that support Trump’s FCC agenda, like Kelli Linville and some of the COB council members do. Still, this puts them in a position of power since they can easily ostracize those that seem to “care too much” and are “too upset” about their policies. Guess what guys, it’s ok to be very angry with your government. There are just as many Democrats that screwed you over as Republicans, and the time to hold them to account is now. Solution: Locally, we need a mayor that isn’t so corrupt. While she seems to gerrymander pretty well she supports the militarization of the police with as much regard as buying potting soil, she supports Trump by supporting telecom companies that will prioritize the information you receive, she supports overpaying high level school administrators while the schools themselves can hardly function, she supports a Waterfront project during an age when physical expansion is foolish. The list goes on and gets even worse at the State and National level. Time to replace most of our leaders. Oh, and it’s ok to be angry with them too and let them know why. They’ve earned it and don’t deserve your respect. Hell, they’ve gotten rich by screwing you over.  Kelli Linville says she has a soft spot for the homeless, well guess what, if she would put a reasonable luxury tax in place (aka tax people like herself) the homeless problem would be dealt with humanely and efficiently. Meaning we could easily house, give medical care too, and feed the homeless. There is a currently a 6:1 ratio of unoccupied housing to homeless people. The truth is that she pretends to care publicly, but will never take real action to solve the issue because it would mean taxing her donors.

I’ve given you a few examples, many of them hyper-local but you all have your own. The sad truth is that this is considered par for the course in most of the country. In the current state that most town are in basically any good idea will go through the flow chart I’ve posted. Still, the solution is simple. If the government has become untrustworthy, and does not serve the people, then we need to replace it. There are many more community minded, young people, waiting to do so that would be happy to have the good jobs our government officials take for granted. So let’s get them in there, hold our governments accountable, and create a modern civilization. You don’t have to feel bad. You won’t be putting anyone out. The current officials have already made their private investments, and all of their decisions are based on taking care of the corporate citizens first. So if they fall on their face instead of getting mega-wealthy off of the suffering of their own citizens, then it’s not like they don’t deserve it.

Specifically to the residents of Bellingham, WA. Remember the slogan for the next election, since our local paper has been bought and does not do any real investigative reporting in relation to the government. Linville Lies. Just look at the state of our city. The proof is all around you. If the Herald folds, then let it go. We need a news source that will actually do investigative reporting. We can create that online and member fund it like The Young Turks do. Losing the Bellingham Herald will be no big loss if they won’t start acting like journalists and holding accountable.

DNC Chooses to Lose in 2020 with Tom Perez

Man the Democrats never learn from their mistakes! I think Donald Trump’s tweet about Tom Perez says it all but I’ll elaborate on this too.

“Congratulations to Thomas Perez, who has just been named chairman of the DNC. I could not be happier for him, or for the Republican Party.” — Donald Trump

(What Trump meant to whisper was, “because Thomas Perez is an establishment goon and actually a Republican just like Barack Obama who I pretend to hate but like because of all of the wars, fascism, oppression and protection of the establishment.)

You see, the DNC is so focused on maintaining the establishment, that puts corporate citizens first, that they just won’t make a really progressive move even though there are many indicators, like their defeat by the Republicans, unrest at town hall meetings, etc. to show that the nation is in a populist mood.

You see, like all of the old establishment parties, the baby-boomer side of the DNC is mostly racist but in a reverse way. They believe that just because Thomas Perez is latino, that alone will be enough to make everyone look away from the fact that he is an establishment scumbag. They figure that they can just have him do some gerrymandering, like good old waste of sperm Cory Booker, and all will be well because they are elitists that think the American people are stupid. They figure that even if they’re wrong, what are we going to do, vote fro Trump again? Which is the same bet they made with Hillary Clinton…. (Sad Sarcastically) That went well for them right.

Here’s the truth. Most Americans are better than their elected officials. They don’t care if the DNC chair has two vaginas, four stomachs, three assholes, and is from Mars as long as they stop screwing the average American over. This is why Bernie was so popular and why Keith Ellison was the correct choice for DNC chair. Well, the correct choice if the party actually wanted to represent the working man, instead of the establishment which it obviously does not.

I never try to explain anything with conspiracy that I can with stupidity, and the DNC definitely has a lot of stupidity afoot, but doesn’t it seem odd that the Democratic party is setting itself up again to either lose or protect big corporations? Doesn’t it seem like they’re setting themselves up to give us no real choice, again, in 2020? I mean, they’re talking about running Cory Booker in 2020 already. Can you think of a worse candidate, well besides running Hillary Clinton again?

Here is a link to a video that explains how governments work that will shed some light on why Democrats and Republicans alike keep fucking over the little guy. It’s called “The Rules for Rulers”.

https://youtu.be/rStL7niR7gs

Lessons from the Past for Today

Kane (smugly): I’ve talked with the responsible leaders of the Great Powers – England, France, Germany, and Italy – they’re too intelligent to embark on a project which would mean the end of civilization as we now know it. You can take my word for it. There’ll be no war.  — Citizen Kane

There are many lessons to learn from the past that apply today. I’ve chosen this movie quote, as it highlights much of the thinking at the time about Germany and the possibility of World War 2. In fact, until General George S. Patton made residents near the Buchenwald Concentration Camp tour it, many denied that the Nazi’s could be as cruel as was rumored. Some still do today.

http://www.scrapbookpages.com/Buchenwald/Exhibits.html

So what does this have to do with our current situation. Well, many of us are also in denial about our current situation. While it’s true that I’ve predicted that Trump will be largely ineffective, the threat of fascism will not leave when Trump is impeached. In fact, it may get even worse under Pence or any of the alt-right leaders that are now in power. Trump has already done a lot of damage, and we already have a lot to do to reverse it. Just the effective loss of Net Neutrality means that your news is already being censored, so your ability to fight in an effective peaceful manner has been severely limited.

What gives me the most concern is the denial I hear from other Americans today. Some say, “it many not play out like we think.” Or, “it may not be as bad as we think it will be.” They say this while Corporate Democrats help Republicans screw the American people out of affordable healthcare, good educations, try to create bans against entire races of people, brutal deportations have started and even your access to information is limited. Thanks to our totally pro-corporate capitalist system, you are paying top dollar for all of this treatment. Hell, we have almost 9% sales tax and high property tax here, but I can’t even get my road plowed when it snows. I’m basically told to go fuck myself by my local government. The solution is obvious, luxury taxes. We can’t keep raising the sales and property taxes on the poor and middle class. It’s killing them. Yet the government is filled with wealthy people, so they will never tax themselves. So they make overtaxing the poor sound fair. Taking away your opportunities as giving you choice. The list goes on and the wealthy have to be taxed and regulated before they destroy everything. It’s not unfair. You can’t become wealthy without the help of others. So we’re just asking them to take care of the communities that take care of them. Hell, right now the government will even send the public servants that you pay for, like the cops, along to help the bank seize your home and kick you and your family out on the street if you miss a mortgage payment. In fact, the government will even kill you under quite a long list of circumstances.

Do we setup governments to kill us? I ask this only because they do seem to be doing a lot of jailing and killing of citizens lately. That doesn’t sound to me like something a government should be doing. Just like they shouldn’t be in your bedroom, telling you what other adult(s) you can marry, or telling you what totally safe substances you can put into your body, like Marijuana. The government, and your corporate masters, have overstepped their bounds and have removed the natural separations that should exist between all entities to protect your freedoms. For example, Marijuana is legal in Washington State, but many employees are drug tested and can be fired if their employer tests for weed. Effectively, this allows their employer to control whether they can partake in the use of a new substance that has been made legal by their state government. That is one example of how employers are in control of your freedoms.

So what does this mean? It means that we need to not make the mistake that the French and most of the rest of the world made during the pre-WWII period. We need our governments to stop being our moral police and trying to push our morals onto the rest of the world. We need to not underestimate the need to prepare for a fascist government and what it is capable of. We need not to be petty to our neighbors, which will only allow fascist power and support to grow. Remember one of the root causes of WWII was that the French and English, understandably still pissed off about WWI, taxed the Germans into poverty. “Poverty is the worst form of violence.” — Gandhi. This laid the groundwork for the Nazi’s to come into power. Without this childish behavior, this may have never happened. Poverty creates desperate, pissed off, people that are capable of anything.

If we’re going to hold entire countries accountable, which I think is crazy, but if we’re going to ban muslims then we need to at least include the countries that have harbored terrorists that have attacked the US in the past. Like Saudi Arabia. We need to stop giving Saudi Arabia a pass because of the corporate interests that Bush, Trump and many others have there. They have ATMs that dispense gold for fucks sake, because that’s how wealthy they are because of the amount of oil we buy from them. If that doesn’t make you want to drive a more fuel efficient car, get an electric car, shop locally, etc. I don’t know what will. We also need to stop arming the Saudi’s. Something we’ve been doing since the Obama administration.

Did you know that we built a totally safe, almost zero waste nuclear reactor in the 60’s in Oak Ridge, Tennessee based on Thorium instead of Uranium? The government decided to use the much more dangerous Uranium solution so they could make ICBMs (aka nuclear missiles). So we could have been energy independent as far back as about 1960, assuming that we built these reactors, and moved ahead with renewable research as well. This would have made electric cars desirable by the 1970s and we could have avoided almost all of our problems in the middle east. You know why we didn’t do it, aside from building ICBMs? So rich people could make money off of poisoning us and the planet. That’s it, there is no reasonable explanation for the use of other energy sources on a large scale. We can build them now by the way, but are choosing to go backward to natural gas and even coal. Other countries, like China and England, are going ahead with LFTR reactors builds. http://fortune.com/2015/02/02/doe-china-molten-salt-nuclear-reactor/

Oh yeah, we’re paying them to do it.

We need to stop supporting Israel in its onslaught against the Palestinian people and stop pretending that there are two equal armies fighting it out over the West Bank. The Israelis are way better equipped than the Palestinians, thanks largely to us, and when they feel like slaughtering their neighbors, there is little their neighbors can do to protect themselves. Why are we supporting Israel at this point when they:

  1. Are a strong independent nation that doesn’t need our help.
  2. Are acting like children in regard to reaching an agreement with their neighbors.
  3. Are aggressively settling the West Bank, regardless of the consequences.
  4. Have suggested a 2 state solution where Palestine will end up as a police state under Israeli rule.
  5. We have US cities in desperate need of help here. How long will Flint, Michigan and East Chicago, Indiana have to wait for clean water? Is New Orleans really ready for the next Katrina?

Anyway, supporting Israel is immoral and just pisses off everyone else in the middle east.

We are building up huge stockpiles of weapons, we have been for a long time now, and we haven’t been at peace since WWII. Meanwhile, we’re allowing our country to fall apart. Think about this, a single F-35 fighter jet is $135 million dollars. For the cost of just one of these planes we can wire up the entire state of California with publicly owned fiber optics cabling which will last for at least 60 years and give them untold benefits, yet why we tell them we don’t have enough money to do something like that, or even give their kids decent school lunches, we have enough to buy 115 F-35s?! Here’s the truth, the government doesn’t give a shit about you. The citizens they care about aren’t even real people, they’re corporations.

So great, we have awesome first strike capability, but what do we think will happen if we don’t have reliable infrastructure to fall back on if we’re cut off from trade with the rest of the world. Like say, if our economy collapses, which it looks like it’s going to again soon. Or if others like Mexico stop trading with us because we have bat-shit crazy policies like trying to get them to pay to build a wall between our two countries. These countries make many of the products we rely on daily, because we have stopped making just about everything here.

Make no mistake, we may be doing most of our fascism in the dark now, but we are spying on our own citizen with new tools and more fervor than even the Nazi’s did on their own. Even president Obama misused the law to punish people who leaked information, do you think this administration is going to be more benevolent.

Meanwhile, we are so hopelessly tied to our system of Neo-Classical Capitalism that you can’t even do anything in your community without setting up some kind of corporation and often being told by your government what companies you can and can’t talk about in meetings. Something I’ve experienced first hand.

In short, we have a fascist government in place. This government will act like Corporate Nazi’s if the environment is right and they can get away with it because they’ve forced us all to beg corporations and banks for the right to do even benevolent work in our communities. This allows them to filter out “undesirables” using money before they can ever become a “threat.”  Time to rise above living just to make a dollar and turn our country into a Democracy instead of the current Corporate State, or we’re all pretty much screwed. Time to vote for progressives, and not fake progressives like Waste of Sperm Cory Booker, but real progressives like Keith Ellison, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders.

In the end we need a government that serves the people first, not corporations, and is filled with people of the highest character. This government needs to be accountable to the people and by that I don’t mean corporations. Corporations are Not People.

Ken Mann Accuses Whatcom County Residents of Expecting Cadillac Service in Relation to Safety and Recent Snow Storms

So, I’m going to focus on something very local here and then talk about how this is going on all over the country.

Whatcom County, WA is one of the most beautiful places to live in the world. It doesn’t snow much in Bellingham itself, but it does always snow a bit every winter. This winter it snowed a lot. In the past the County owned several snow plows, but then ran themselves out of money through, among other things, mismanagement of tax revenue. The taxes have gone up on properties just about every year, because we play this game in America with people’s necessities, and allow their values to increase or decrease rapidly. Hence the County will argue that the taxes have not increased for 20 years, but we’ve all been paying more in taxes because of our insane real-estate system. It’s a really slick way for them to make you pay more in taxes without technically doing it themselves, but the result to the average worker is the same. You pay more in taxes for the place you need to live in to have any quality of life.

One of the County’s solutions to mismanaging their money was to sell the snow plows. Allow me to explain why this is very, very stupid. Machines in general depreciate in value very rapidly. They lose about 1/4 or their value when you “drive them off the lot”, and the depreciation only gets worse from there. Hence, they were worth way more to us running then we could have sold them for proportionately. Kenn Mann claims that there were only 5 days the roads were unserviceable, but the territory that the plow men/women have is from Point Roberts to about Lakeview Street.  Meaning that they have to prioritize streets to the point that by the time they get to many of the streets they’ve waited so long that the snow and ice is compacted and it basically cannot be plowed. At this point putting sand down and ice melt, which they do a poor job of as well, is only minimally effective. Hence getting to the snow in a timely fashion is very important. Plus, they’re always complaining about how they need to create jobs. Well, I could have created quite a few jobs this winter. Still, they will literally not work on many of the roads for days in the hopes that they will melt out. There have been a total of 15 days that many of the roads were unuseable, costing home businesses, etc. thousands of dollars County wide. It also shows potential businesses that Whatcom County will not take their infrastructure seriously, and that they should look elsewhere to setup shop. Like in Mount Vernon where they also have a publicly owned fiber optic network.

The school conditions were a disgrace as well. At an Arts Competition last weekend at Meridian High School, the conditions of the grounds were disgraceful. I observed people slipping and falling on their way into the school. Luckily they were young, so I don’t think there were any permanent injuries. They can pay the high level administrators high salaries, but I guess they just can’t let a few maintenance workers clean up on the weekends when it’s necessary to keep the public, who is paying for the school and their salaries, safe. Schools have been closed for what will end up being a week and were closed earlier this winter too. It’s never inexpensive to close the schools once you exceed the allotted number of snow days.

The County has had the following commentary.

  1. They tell you that your road isn’t a priority and apologize, which at least means that they apologize. OR
  2. You get a snotty e-mail from Ken Mann telling you that expecting them to clear the roads so people can get to work, school, run their businesses, get food to the hungry, etc. is “cadillac service.” Ken told me flat out that expecting basic services for my taxes in this regard is “expecting Cadillac Service.” I kindly reminded him that he should treat others how he wants to be treated.

So, onto Rud Browne, another Council Member, that the local Democrats hate. However, Rud Wrote back to me as well and actually looked into the issue. So he actually cared. So what’s my point here? Nationwide we have representatives on both sides that are telling Americans that expecting basic services for what they pay in taxes is obscene and lying to us about how Europeans like the French and Italians are drowning in taxes. Which just isn’t true if you look at what they get for their tax money.

We are constantly shamed, even by our own politicians, for expecting to get something for our taxes. So we settle for less and less all of the time. Well, we’ve settled for enough now. Just ask the people of Flint, Michigan, or East Chicago, Indiana. Are they expecting Cadillac Service, as Ken Mann might accuse them of if he lived in their towns and represented them, by expecting their government to do something about their poisoned drinking water? Are we by expecting the government to try their best and make the roads safe so people don’t get injured or worse when it does snow? Are we by expecting them be prepared for the future? Are we by expecting our schools to turn out well educated students? Of course not, we just need to get rid of the Ken Mann’s of the world, nationwide.

As an aside, we had to hold a special election to approve a tax to buy a new fire truck here too.

Here is a local newspaper article highlighting the infrastructure issues that were part of the storm too. I’ve been trying to convince them to improve their infrastructure for quite some time now.

http://www.bellinghamherald.com/news/local/article130889464.html

Also, here are some pictures from Meridian High School’s “Solo and Ensemble Competition” showing off Ken Mann’s “Cadillac Snow Service.”

People tell me that guys like Ken are progressive, because he is against the muslim ban, like Cory Booker. I am against it too. The muslim ban is stupid, and any reasonable person is against it. Still, it’s pretty obvious that guys like Ken and Cory don’t care about it one way or the other. They just pick topics that are popular and will get them funding. Right now that’s a good one to pick for them. When it comes to dealing with poor and middle class people in their community, instead of self-reflecting, apologizing, and agreeing to do a better job, they just tell us to go fuck ourselves, because we’re not potential donors and that’s all that guys like this care about. Something tells me that if Ken spent the money that he does on Haircuts in his community we’d have plowed streets and all of the homeless would be fed and in shelters. So let’s stop pretending guys like this are progressive simply because they know when to yell and for what. We need people in power that care about everyone at their core. Again, Cory Booker is the guy who voted to protect his big Pharma donors at the expense of the lives of Americans and the safety of his community, by blocking the Canadian Drug Imports which have been proven many times to be safe. I had a neighbor slide off of the road into a ditch with her kids in the car. Luckily everyone was ok. Still, people like Ken will say, they should have had chains, yes they should have, but they pay high property taxes and almost 9% sales tax. They say they shouldn’t have gone out. Well this has been going on for 5 days this week and a total of 15 days this winter. So how about this instead, how about our county does a better job with the large amount of revenue they take in and Ken Mann acts like a man and admits his mistakes.

Fremont St. and Surrounding Streets After 5 Days of Ken Mann’s Cadillac Snow Service.

For reference, here is Ken’s reply to my legit concerns.

“Thanks for your email. I suggest you look into it even further. The County has not raised your property taxes in 20 years. Even if we did, it wouldn’t be prudent to have specialized equipment and let it idle 5 years just to deliver 5 days of the Cadillac service you seem to expect. Ken”

Here are the inaccuracies in it:

  1. The County has not raised the rate of taxes because they artificially inflated housing market means that the houses are valued often above what they can be sold for. So the amount of taxes go up. I described this in further detail above.

2. The equipment does not need to be specialized. Plow kits are available for trucks and vans that are              inexpensive. These detachable systems would allow trucks purchased for general work to serve as                plow trucks in cases like this.

3. Setting aside money for sub-contractors to plow the roads would have been prudent as well.

4. Again, the depreciation on the trucks is high, so they were worth more to us running, as I described             above.

5. Expecting basic services that keep my family and my neighbors safe is not Cadillac Service. One of               our neighbors ended up in a ditch with their family. Please see above for more details.

6. It’s not just 5 days every 5 years. On many side streets the streets were not attended to or properly            treated for 15 days this winter causing unnecessary loss of property, work and injury. Also, the increment is about every 3 years.

— The truth is that they didn’t plan for it. It’s that simple. Now they’re trying to cover up for it while they take in more tax money all of the time. Get ready for your house to be over-valued and your taxes to go up again. Since Trump deregulated the banks we’re back at the 2007 levels for housing, right before the bubble burst that created the great recession. Still, there is no motivation for them to get better. They are an excuse machine and if you withhold your taxes they’ll seize your house and sell it for the tax money. That’s who these guys really are. The other truth is that Ken is talking to me this way because he believes that I’m poor, not a potential donor, and therefore not worth speaking to with respect. We know this is how he treats the poor in general when he opposed the installation of a crosswalk because he, “never noticed anyone cross there himself.” Yeah, because there wasn’t a crosswalk there. He also spearheaded a bill to allow the use of unnecessary roadside herbicides to be used. Your water taste funny recently? Again, they’re an excuse machine and they try to shame you into not holding them to account. They will say that you don’t understand how hard the COunty Workers are working, when you never said anything about the workers at all in any of your statements. They’ll tell you that not plowing your road for a total of 15 days over the winter is actually 5. They’ll tell you that it only snows enough to care every 5 years, when it’s every 3, and even then how else do they plan to move the snow. Here’s the truth, they don’t. They don’t live paycheck to paycheck and need every penny they earn like 50% of Whatcom County residents. They can’t relate, and don’t care to. They protect the interests of the very wealthy first. This is why it’s time for new leadership.

Update: One of my newer articles is specifically about other specialized equipment that the police have that is unnecessary. Whatcom County has 1 tanks and the City of Bellingham has a Light Armored Vehicle (aka a smaller tank). These vehicles start around $300,000 each and have never been used legitimately. The BearCat was used to put down a WWU riot, but it was unnecessary to use that vehicle to distribute the tear gas (they call an operation like this crowd control, it sounds nicer than tear gassing young adults, and in the stated case the college kids probably deserved it.). So just so everyone is clear, we can’t have snow plows to remove the much more common occurrence of snow, but we can have tanks, filled with weapons, for our police to use when pacifying us to the tune of at least $600,000.  It should be noted that the police did followed proper procedure during the incident.

Piece of Shit Corporate Democrats That Vote Against Your Interests

Today the following Democrats voted to allow an Oil Company Executive, Rex Tillerson, to serve as the Secretary of State. They are:

Mark Warner (VA), Heidi Heitkamp (ND), Joe Manchin (WV) and Angus King (I-ME)

A few weeks ago the following Democrats chose to totally fuck you over on getting affordable drugs from Canada.

https://www.reddit.com/r/SandersForPresident/comments/5nicm2/these_democrats_just_voted_against_bernies/

Yes, the Republicans are scary, but at least they’re wolves in wolf’s clothing. We can see them coming. These Democrats are wolves in sheep’s clothing, which is what destroyed the party. Time to tell them, “don’t let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.” Or even, “eat shit you scum sucking bastards.” It’s ok to be angry with them and let them know how you feel.

Hell, you don’t even have to feel bad about it. These guys fleeced the American public for so many years that they must all be very wealthy. Hence, when we vote them out, and vote progressives in, they’ll just go on vacation to some tropical island. Think about it, someone that voted to make sure their big pharma and oil company donors were happy, at the expense of your child’s life, isn’t capable of caring about what they do to the average person. So you don’t have to care about whether they have a job or not in congress. There, I’ve officially given you the right to vote them out of office, even if you’re a Democrat.

Also, a special shout out to Cory Booker, who voted against Canadian Drug Imports and talks about Educational Choice (just like Betsy DeVos). You’re a horrible human being and if you run for office on the Democratic ticket, you’ll assure the Republicans another victory. I know it’s hard to except what you are, but the evidence is clear, so we really need you to accept that you’re a scumbag, and not run.

Yet there is hope. Not only did Bernie and many others around his campaign give us a clear path to victory, but TYTNetwork’s Cenk Uygur announced the Justice Democrats just a few days ago. It’s a place you can go to and nominate someone you actually think is good for the country instead of just waiting to vote on whatever backstabbing, corporately funded, POS candidates the establishment crams down your throats to pop up on your ballot. Just go to https://justicedemocrats.com/ to nominate and support people that are good instead of what the establishement gives you.
